02How is the cause of hair loss identified?
Male- and female-pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, diffuse shedding and scalp conditions can have different causes. The course of hair loss and any accompanying signs are assessed; further tests and suitable treatment are planned if needed.
03Are acne and acne scars treated the same way?
Active acne and existing scars are assessed separately. Medical treatment may be considered for acne; depending on the type of scar, options such as chemical peels or fractional CO₂ laser may be considered.
04Is laser treatment always suitable for skin pigmentation?
No. Melasma, sun spots and post-acne discoloration do not always call for the same approach. Medical treatment, peels or suitable light and laser methods are considered according to the type of pigmentation and the skin.
05What happens if I may have eczema, psoriasis or rosacea?
Skin conditions that look alike may have different causes. The doctor reviews the history of the concern and examines the skin; treatment and any needed further tests are determined accordingly.
06Does an ingrown nail always require a procedure?
Not every ingrown nail needs the same approach. The extent of the ingrowth, the surrounding tissue and prior treatments are assessed; splinting and other options are then considered.
07What concerns can laser treatments address?
Different laser and light methods may be considered for unwanted hair, certain scars, tattoos and pigmentation changes, or visible small blood vessels. The appropriate method depends on the skin and the concern being treated.
08What is the difference between botulinum toxin and fillers?
These are distinct procedures considered for different purposes. Botulinum toxin may be considered for expression lines and certain cases of excessive sweating; fillers may be considered for volume loss and facial contours. Suitability and possible risks are discussed during the consultation.
