Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a method of directly administering pure carbon dioxide gas into and under the skin using a specialized device.

Carboxytherapy is a method of directly injecting pure carbon dioxide gas into and under the skin using a special device. Carbon dioxide gas is non-allergenic and non-toxic, and is expelled through the respiratory system within two hours without reaching internal organs. It was first used in France in 1932 to treat blocked arteries. Since 1993, it has been successfully applied in cellulite treatment. Carbon dioxide is a gas that disperses 20 times faster than oxygen. After application, more oxygen reaches the area from surrounding tissues, circulation accelerates, and fat burning increases. Carbon dioxide is quickly removed.

What are the effects?

1- Increased oxygenation of tissues is ensured.

2- Capillary blood flow increases.

3- New capillary formation is observed.

4. Oxidative fat breakdown in adipose tissue increases.

5. The synthesis of collagen and elastin, the main components of connective tissue, increases.

Where is it used?

1- It is used alone or in combination in the treatment of cellulite and localized fat deposits. Carboxytherapy is the gold standard in cellulite treatment.

2- In the treatment of wrinkles, sagging skin, loss of elasticity, and stretch marks;

3- In psoriasis;

4- In arterial and venous circulatory disorders;

5- In venous ulcers;

6- In the treatment of impotence.

What are the side effects?

It is the only medical method with no proven side effects.

1- Mild pain.

2. A rare, crackling sound under the skin that lasts for a few hours.

Where should it not be used?

1- Acute myocardial infarction,

2- Acute thromboembolic disorders,

3. Acute renal failure.

The application time is 10-15 minutes. Sessions are given 2-3 times a week. An average of 15-20 sessions are required. Cellulite is reduced in the first sessions, stretch marks recede in subsequent sessions, excess tissue and wrinkles disappear, and fat tissue begins to thin from the eighth to tenth session. After 15 sessions, an average reduction of 5-7 cm (2-3 sizes) is expected. Body shaping and contour improvement are typical results. Post-session mesotherapy, exercise, or passive gymnastics support increases the success of the treatment. It can be performed on anyone of any age. It has no toxic effects. It does not affect blood pressure. Diabetes is not a contraindication for carboxytherapy. The effects of the treatment last for 6 months.

A decrease in the desire to smoke and an improvement in sleep quality on the evening of the procedure were observed in 1–2% of patients.
