Set your priorities.
During the consultation, first write down in a single sentence what topic you want to discuss. If you have more than one question, preparing a short list will make it easier to remember what you want to talk about.
Take your story with you.
You can note when you first noticed your symptoms, how they have changed over time, and any previous assessments you may have. You can also share your examination notes and test results during the consultation.
Prepare a list of products and medications.
Writing down the names of the products and medications you use, or bringing their packaging, can make the consultation easier. This guide does not contain any recommendations for starting or stopping any medication.
Clarify the next step.
Before the consultation ends, clarify your plan, the explanations given to you, and whether any follow-up is needed. Take the time to ask again about any points you don't understand.
